BEFORE THE DELUSION
Secret Vatican Files of the Pyramids and Stonehenge

WILLIAM GLEESON

Dr Liam Kelly, SJ, is an internationally renowned scholar of Biblical history who has spent a lifetime researching pre-Christian documents hidden in the Vatican archives. In a diminished Vatican where hardly anyone even understands Latin anymore he is the last of a past era of scholars who spoke a dozen ancient languages. In order that the old knowledge might not be lost Dr Kelly is charged to compile a plain language dossier of the secrets of the archives - in the course of which he uncovers startling secrets of the Pyramids and the meaning of Stonehenge, which are unexpectedly linked.
From the 16th century onward early Church missionaries collected historical records from all over the Old World. Scouring the manuscripts in the Vatican archives Dr Kelly uncovered surprising new evidence of the original purpose of the Egyptian Pyramids.

'It's all heresy, the work of the Devil', declared Cardinal Borgia. 'We must do everything to ensure it is kept secret to protect the faithful.'

'But it's true', protested Liam, 'we have a duty to reveal the truth. And there's more, I know who built Stonehenge and what it was for.'

But the story can never be told because twisted through the threads of pagan history are other dark secrets that the Church does not want to reveal. Dr Kelly wrestled with his inner demons, torn between loyalty to his Church and the temptation of the awful truth. At risk to his personal safety he defies the Church hierarchy to find a way to reveal the old knowledge of pagan mysteries.

Pyramid Texts engraved in the pyramids of Saqqara
According to the Hebrew historian Flavius Josephus the forefathers of Abraham built towers of stone on which they engraved 'secrets of the stars' so that the knowledge might not be lost.

William Gleeson's impressively researched historical novel presents an astounding sweep of history from the archaeological ruins of Babylon and Egypt, to the ancient scriptures of the Hebrews, to the megalithic monuments at Carnac, Newgrange and Stonehenge. A story of breath-taking scope, yet Gleeson's clear and compelling logic reveals startling knowledge of the pre-Christian 'pagan' world before our true history was shamelessly burnt and suppressed by the Church. An almost unbelievable tale but supported by impressive scholarship and told in an engaging readable style with a touch of wry humour. An incredible story that is frighteningly believable.

From archaeological reports and original documents Gleeson traces the reality of Babylonian 'magic' and Egyptian 'alchemy' that was misconstrued as the ineffable YHWH before morphing into Jehovah of the Hebrews and later into the anthropomorhic 'God' of western Christianity.
According to Hebrew texts the 'lords' of the generations before Abraham built towers of stone, the Temples of the Sun, on which they engraved the old secrets that they might not be lost. Those 'Pyramid Texts' were redisovered in the 1880s, etched in hieroglyphs on the inner walls of the pyramids of Saqqara, south of Cairo. But when translated by Victorian-era Christian scholars they appeared to contain only mumbo-jumbo magic spells and 'prayers' to heretical 'sungods'.
The secrets of the stars were etched in stone, but lost in translation; distorted through the lens of 19th century Christianity.

Now Gleeson reveals a new literal, non-religious interpretation of the disturbing truths contained in the Pyramid Texts, and of the mortal 'lords' who made them. They were the antediluvian forefathers of Abraham out of Sumeria who built the towers of stone in Egypt; and whose descendants dispersed west to engrave their family history in the megaliths of Armorica - in Carnac in Brittany, Newgrange in Ireland and ultimately the key to it all at Stonehenge.

A staggering new perspective that challenges conventional views of history. Radically unorthodox but disturbingly credible.
